Join the Finance Leadership Programme – Class of '23 (May/Aug Exams)

A unique opportunity to kick start your Finance Leadership Programme (FLP) studies.

Introducing a free and highly interactive 8-week programme of study and exam support for any candidate at the Operational, Management or Strategic levels. It’s ideal for anyone studying, or planning to study for, CGMA Case Study exams in May or August 2023.

  • Join an award-winning Class of ‘23 (May/Aug Exams) and, in return for your commitment, you will receive a structured programme of study and exam support as outlined below. If followed, it will improve your chances of success in your chosen Case Study exam.
  • The programme contains more than 60 hours of support material, including:
    • Study Calendar -  A step-by-step weekly guide with downloadable learning resources to maximise your chances of exam success.
    • Recorded webcasts and articles, focussing on study techniques, time management and essential exam skills.
    • A dedicated Facebook group providing an opportunity to network with, and learn from, your peers, and to interact with CGMA staff.
    • Certificate of completion ― FLP Class of ’23 (May/Aug Exams).

This programme is designed to complement the FLP Case Study Review Course. It does not replace study of the technical knowledge (syllabus content) needed to pass CGMA exams. It does include support material that will allow you to take ownership of your learning and exam preparation. With advice on time planning, and insights from the CGMA exam markers, examiners and exam top performers, it will also ensure you’re aware of all the exam requirements.

This free-of-charge programme is for you if you:

  • Are planning to sit a Case Study exam in May or August 2023.
  • Need step-by-step guidance and additional learning support.
  • Want to get back on track with your studies and know where to start.
  • Have challenges around procrastination and time management.
  • Value peer-to-peer support and networking opportunities.
  • Need to develop essential study and exam skills.
  1. Register with the programme before 15th March 2023.
  2. Complete a short survey for us to better understand your expectations and study support requirements.
  3. Join the FLP Class of ’23 (May/Aug Exams) Facebook group. 
  4. Watch the recorded onboarding webcast by 24th March 2023.
  5. Kick-start your learning journey. Follow the step-by-step guide and resources in the Revision Guide.
  6. Book the May (or August as appropriate) 2023 CGMA Case Study exam ideally as early as you can but before the closing date for your exam level.
  7. Sit your exam in the May 2023 (or August 2023) exam window.
  8. Follow the guidance you will receive in your Friday check-in emails.
  9. Receive a Certificate of Completion by 31st July (May exam candidates ) or 30 September (August exam candidates).

Motivate yourself by booking your Case Study exam early in the support programme. Commit yourself to sticking to that exam date and plan backwards from it. Follow the study support programme and guidance in our weekly emails either in full, or by selecting relevant resources as and when you need them. Note that the more you participate in the programme, the greater your chances of exam success.

Terms and conditions

  1. Finance Leadership Programme (FLP) candidates with a current active subscription at Operational, Management or Strategic Level are eligible for this programme.
  2. Should a candidate’s FLP subscription expire during the programme then it would need to be renewed in order to continue being a member of the FLP Class of ‘23 programme.
  3. Candidates are recommended to schedule/book and sit their CGMA Case Study (CS) exam in the May 2023 exam window so that they may retake the exams in August 2023 exam window (note: the pre-seen materials are the same as May 2023 exams).
  4. A Certificate of Completion will be awarded to all FLP Class of ’23 candidates after the programme, subject to sitting and passing a CGMA CS exam in either May or August 2023.
  5. Certificates of Completion will be sent to eligible candidates by 31 July 2023 for those who pass May 2023 CS exams, and by 31 October 2023 for those who pass August 2023 CS exams.
  6. Our IT systems are being upgraded in April 2023; this may affect your exam booking, scheduling, and sitting. Therefore, please take careful note of the key dates below.
    • No exams can be sat between 12 and 26 April.
    • CGMA exams may be booked between 12 and 16 April, IF the exam is scheduled for or after 27 April.
    • You will not be able to access your MyCIMA account for any purpose, including exam booking and scheduling, between 17 and 26 April.

  7. If you’ve already scheduled an exam during this period (12 to 26 April inclusive), please reschedule as soon as possible. If you fail to reschedule the exams during this period, the exams will be cancelled (and refunds will automatically be applied).
