Motivation to get the CGMA Designation
The world is becoming a smaller place, and our client base continues to expand internationally. Additionally, more and more of our clients are looking for expertise and insight over and above being their auditors. They want to be able to ask a multitude of business-related questions and feel confident that they are getting answers from an experienced business partner. The CGMA designation demonstrates further that we are more than just auditors, we can be a partner for growth as well. 

Journey through taking the live and self-study learning and exam
Having sat for the CPA Examination, I observed that the exam format was much different. The open-endedness of the exam is refreshing, and mirrors scenarios that we encounter in serving our clients. There is rarely a list of available solutions – we have to gather data from a variety of sources, interpret that data, and advise on the best course of action.

CGMA Program Experience
While the Program and designation are relatively new, as the designation gains traction globally, it will further demonstrate my commitment to the profession and continual learning. I’ve forwarded the Program to numerous partners throughout the firm. The designation demonstrates to our clients our commitment to being more than just an auditor, being a true business partner that can help them grow and address challenges in their business, internationally if necessary.
