There are four steps to complete the CGMA® Finance Leadership Program and earn the CGMA designation:

  1. Enroll in the CGMA Finance Leadership Program.
  2. Complete the coursework and case study exams.
  3. Complete three years of practical work experience.
  4. Apply for the CGMA Designation
     


How much does it cost?

The CGMA Finance Leadership Program is offered in one-, two- or three-year subscriptions. How long you need will likely depend on your existing education and study habits.

CGMA Finance Leadership Program pathway structure

The CGMA Finance Leadership Program consists of three levels and two exams. While sound technical teaching underpins each level, they also work to build a complete strategic leader, starting from Operational up to Strategic level. While your entry point into the program depends on previous education and certifications, learners have access to all levels.

Three years of practical work experience

The Practical Experience Requirement demonstrates your ability to apply your knowledge and skills in the context of your professional experience. You do not need to have work experience to start the CGMA Finance Leadership Program, but you must meet the Practical Experience Requirements before you can obtain the CGMA designation.
