The CGMA Finance Leadership Program seamlessly blends learning and assessments, to ensure that you understand key topics and can apply your new skills before you move on to more advanced business concepts. The design of the CGMA Finance Leadership Program adjusts to you, so you can learn at your own pace and build upon your unique knowledge and experience with complementary skills and tools you can use immediately.
 

You will access the CGMA Finance Leadership Program through the website, www.CGMA.org. Your personal dashboard will track and report your progress through the Program, and guide you throughout your experience. Your dashboard features a Competency List, which displays the specific knowledge and skills you will master through  Program. Each level of the  Program encompasses multiple Competency Areas. Each Competency Area covers a variety of specific skillsets, tools and topics you will master.
 

The CGMA Finance Leadership Program features ongoing knowledge checks and interactive exercises designed to assess your knowledge, reinforce your learning and optimize your experience. Topic Assessments will test your proficiency in specific concepts.  When you have successfully completed all Topic Assessments associated with an individual Competency Area, you will complete a Business Simulation Assessment. This is a short, scenario-based assessment that will challenge you to perform business tasks related to the Competency Area. Once you have successfully completed all the learning and assessments for the level, including the Business Simulation Assessments, you are ready for the CGMA Case Study Exam.

All three levels of the CGMA Finance Leadership Program culminate with a Case Study Exam, which is a unique assessment designed to test your mastery of the critical competencies. The Case Study Exam will challenge you to apply all your knowledge and skills to deliver insights and make decisions in a real-world business situation. The Case Study Exams are administered by Pearson VUE at testing centers all over the world.
 

The CGMA Finance Leadership Program is designed to prepare you for the Case Study Exam — and any future business challenge you’ll face - with the skills, the experience, and the confidence you need. You decide when you’re ready to take the exam. You can take the Case Study Exam as many times as you choose, but you must successfully pass the required exams to earn the CGMA designation.

You are encouraged to set a target date to complete each level of the CGMA Finance Leadership Program and sit for the corresponding Case Study Exam. Your personal dashboard will help you manage your time effectively to reach your target date. You can work at your own pace, and take as much time as necessary to complete the CGMA Finance Leadership Program, however, you must maintain an active subscription to access the CGMA Finance Leadership Program. The CGMA Finance Leadership Program features three separate levels, encompassing all the critical business competencies, from the fundamental business principles to the most advanced topics. The Operational Level introduces essential business concepts and provides a strong foundation in the technical skills in finance and accounting. The Management Level builds on these core skills and business acumen, with more advanced concepts, tools and frameworks. The Strategic Level completes your professional skill set, with new insights and a valuable toolkit to help you lead at the enterprise level.

Your entry route to the CGMA Finance Leadership Program is determined by your education and experience. You will progress sequentially from one level to the next, to build on foundational skills with more advanced skills. You can review all material covered in previous competency areas/ levels should you need to a refresher on that information.

The CGMA Finance Leadership Program is accessible online, and you can access the program on a tablet or mobile device. However, the CGMA was designed primarily for desktop devices or laptops. Some functionality is not optimized for mobile devices. We strongly recommend using a laptop or desktop to complete the CGMA Finance Leadership Program.

Each level of the CGMA Finance Leadership Program features a variety of competency areas for you to master. You do not need to master these competencies in any specific order; you are free to study in whatever order you like. Your personal learning dashboard tracks your progress toward completing the program. The CGMA Finance Leadership Program will recommend topics, but you have the freedom to explore different competency areas and move throughout the program. You must complete all  learning in a competency area before you can take the business simulation assessment for that competency area.

Each Level of the CGMA Finance Leadership Program features a number of competency areas.  Each competency area includes practical tools, skills and frameworks that you must master before you can earn the CGMA designation.  There is a business simulation assessment at the end of each competency area, where you will be challenged to apply what you have learned in a fictional business scenario.
 

The business simulation assessment is designed to test your mastery of the tools, skills, and frameworks that you learn as you progress through the CGMA Finance Leadership Program. You must complete the learning within each competency area before you can undertake the business simulation assessment.

The business simulations are designed to test your mastery of specific knowledge and skills. If you don’t pass a business simulation assessment, you can retake the assessment. There is no limit on the number of times you can take a specific business simulation assessment. There are, however, multiple variations of each business simulation assessment to ensure you do not take the same assessment more than once. We strongly recommend that you review the competency area prior to retaking the business simulation assessment.
