The CGMA Finance Leadership Program was created to help finance leaders master critical knowledge and skills so that they can earn the CGMA designation. The program offers different entry points, based on education and experience, so everyone on your team you can start the program at the appropriate entry point, and then gain the complementary skills that they need to be a successful, well-rounded, business partners.

The CGMA Finance Leadership Program is a single, comprehensive solution to help you develop your entire finance team with the critical knowledge, skills and experience they need. Early career professionals might start at the Operational Level where they will learn essential business concepts and develop a strong foundation in the technical skills of finance and accounting. Emerging leaders might start at the Management Level, where they can build on their existing knowledge and experience with more advanced concepts, tools and frameworks. Senior finance professionals might start at the Strategic Level, where they will refine their skills to lead at the enterprise level. The CGMA Finance Leadership Program is open to anyone with a bachelor’s degree or equivalent. To earn the CGMA designation, candidates must have 3 years of relevant work experience. This experience can be gained before, during, or after completing the CGMA Finance Leadership Program.

The CGMA Finance Leadership Program format is also unique, offering different entry routes, so anyone on your team can begin the program at the right place, based on their education and experience, and start building news skills from day one. The program features real-world scenarios and business simulations, so your team can apply new tools and frameworks in a business context. This “learning by doing approach” helps to reinforce the relevance of key business skills and accelerates learning, empowering your team with skills they can use to make an immediate impact.

Each voucher’s expiration date is equal to the length of the purchased subscription (1, 2, or 3 year), plus 60 days from the time the voucher code was generated and sent to the employer contract person.
 

The voucher can be redeemed at any time before the expiration date. However, redeeming the voucher after the initial 60-day introduction period reduces the candidates active time in the program. We recommend that employers distribute the vouchers directly after receipt and ask their candidates to register promptly to maximize their time in the program.

The CGMA Finance Leadership Program features rigorous assessments and exams, to ensure that everyone on your finance team has mastered all the critical competencies outlined in the CGMA Competency Framework. Each member of your team will have a personal learning dashboard, to monitor their progress through the CGMA Finance Leadership Program and track all new skills, tools and frameworks that they have developed.

There are two subscription plans available for the CGMA Finance Leadership Program, so you can choose the plan that works best for each member of your team. The time limit/expiration date is based on the subscription plan you choose for your team.
 

The CGMA Finance Leadership Program offers different entry points, so everyone on your finance team can start at the appropriate point, based on their unique education and experience. The entry route will determine, in part, how long it takes to complete the CGMA Finance Leadership Program and earn the CGMA designation.
 

The CGMA Finance Leadership Program is entirely online and self-paced, offering your team the flexibility to study on their own terms. The CGMA Finance Leadership Program features adaptive technology to optimize the learning experience, so they can focus more time on the areas where they need to develop proficiency. The result is a more effective and efficient learning experience.
 

While every path to earn the designation is unique, most candidates should aim to complete each Level, including both the learning and the Case Study Exams, within 9 to 12 months. Candidates should allot an average of 5 – 6 hours per week to finish within this timeframe.
