Few companies closely measured the effectiveness of talent decisions made without the input of the HR department, a recent survey showed. But among a group of measures, CFO.com reports, the extent to which a company measured non-HR talent decisions had the highest correlation with the company’s market performance. That measure is a better predictor of company success than, say, turnover rates or performance review scores.
