Good manager = bridge-builder

November 07 2012
When one of your employees just won’t budge, what do you do? The best managers don’t try to argue their case, at least not every time. Charalambos Vlachoutsicos writes in the Harvard Business Review blog that the best managers try to build a bridge to understand the gap between the two sides. Don’t try to change the person’s way of thinking; instead, try to get them to open up.
