Formula One considering $2 billion IPO in Singapore

April 16 2012

Drawing on Formula One’s popularity in Asia, CVC Capital Partners is considering selling about 20% of the auto racing series in an initial public offering in Singapore, Bloomberg reports. The private equity firm, which bought a controlling interest in the Formula One Group in 2005, could seek more than $2 billion in the IPO as early as June. Formula One’s IPO would be Singapore’s biggest since March 2011.
