The CGMA designation tells the world what you stand for as a global management accountant.
Beginning in January 2015, AICPA members pursuing the CGMA designation will be required to pass a strategic case study examination. Before implementation of the exam, accounting professionals who meet the following minimum requirements qualify for the CGMA designation:
The annual CGMA designation fee for 2013-2014 is $150.00; AICPA members who are also a member of a State CPA Society will receive a $50 annual discount off the designation.
Maintaining the CGMA designation
To maintain your CGMA designation, you must remain a voting member of the AICPA in good standing and pay the annual fee for the designation. Continuing professional education (CPE) is required for CPAs to maintain their professional competence and provide quality professional services. CPAs are responsible for complying with all applicable CPE requirements, rules and regulations of state boards of accountancy, as well as those of membership associations and other professional organizations.
CGMA holders will receive a certificate suitable for framing after the annual designation dues have been paid.
Access to CGMA.org is limited. Only CGMA designation holders have full access to the site. For a list of locked and un-locked content, visit our FAQs on website access. AICPA designation holders are able to access the website with the same user name and password used on AICPA.org.
